It is with considerable delight and relief, we announce the official launch of the 'Shelter - Jam with Eric Bogle' Project.
This exciting collaboration between Eric Bogle and Elm promises to be a significant event. Participants have the opportunity to reinforce Eric's hopes and aspirations for an inclusive, tolerant and compassionate Nation. Instrumentalists and singers alike may start practicing and recording your rendition of this wonderful song. We have provided state of the art music resources for your ease of use and you are free to improvise in any genre or follow our arrangement for Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass, Piano and Oboe (or any other compatible instrument).
You have until the end of March 2016 to submit your video rendition. Locals have a slightly extended deadline of 17th April 2016, especially those attending the 2016 Fairbridge Festival where we will be facilitating jamming sessions and video recording in the world-class John Butler Studio.
This stage of the Project will conclude with the exhibiting of a novel computerised art installation at the Mandurah Stretch Festival where each visitor will be invited to play the role of a film editor by directing the dynamic compilation of a music movie. The top three compilations will be uploaded to the Internet, together with appropriate acknowledgement, copyright and privacy statements.
We heartily thank the main sponsors of this event, namely; the City of Mandurah and the Mandurah Muscateers. Without their kind support, we would not have the resources to deliver such an ambitious community project.
Get involved and make a difference!
