We are delighted to announce that Jonathon Welch AM has graciously accepted our invitation to become patron of the Each Living Moment virtual choir. We cannot imagine there could be a better candidate, as testified by the Medal of Australia awarded to Jonathon for his contribution to the arts. His philanthropic initiative to establish the Choir of Hard Knocks for homeless people is particularly relevant, given ELMvc has similar altruistic objectives. WELCOME ABOARD JONATHON!

Jonathon Welch AM is adding a simplified, two part arrangement of Each Moment to his kit bag of songs to use when coaching numerous school and community choirs during the 2013 Mandurah Stretch Festival. At the conclusion of the Festival, the songs learned by the singers will form the program of the Mandurah Proms, to be staged on Sunday 28th April. So, it will be performed live by the massed voices of the choirs on stage! The world premier launch of a HD movie of ELMvc performing the full version of Each Moment - plus - a live performance of the simplified version - on the same week end - it doesn't get much better than this! Love and live WVB Initial Practice Resources, in the form of individually animated music notation and accompanying audio for all eight parts, are NOW available, ahead of schedule, for our singers' use. Use these resources to learn your notes and lyrics. More comprehensive videos of Leah conducting each part, complete with voice-over singer instructions, will be available by the end of February.
A BIG thank you to Leah Blankendaal, our guest conductor, who laboured under hot lights in front of a green screen last Saturday to 'conduct' the Choir. She performed this task many times. Four individual singer practise videos were taken, one for each SATB part. Another three videos were taken for the final HD video of the Choir's collective performance 'at' our virtual venue, planned to be the forecourt of the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. The image (top left) shows a frame from one of the singer practise videos, superimposed over a photo of the forecourt (shot by WVB just before dawn). Singer practise material will now be progressively published on our website over the last week of February, in time for our singers' practise and performance during the first two weeks of March. Firstly, Leah's interpretation of Tim's arrangement is already published in the form of sheet music and audio track. These will be followed by video animations of the sheet music with audio for each part. Secondly, general instructions on what to do and how to do it will be published. Finally, videos of Leah conducting each part, combined with relevant sheet music and audio, plus voice-over instructions to singers will be published. Love and live
