If I were to summarise who I am and why I am involved in this quest, I can think of no better way than to reflect on the key elements of my story, as told by Roger's lyrics in the Choir's first song 'Each Moment'.

"The glass is half empty or is it half full?"
For me, it's half full! Pessimism harms, optimism nurtures.

"By choice we live in the present making each moment last."
It's my only reality. The past is history, the future will look after itself.

"My guide will be my strength of mind."
Each cell in my body knows how to nurture and heal, my mind's job is to clear the decks.

"Take my gift of love and I will live again."
To fight my disorder is to fight myself. Instead, I offer my condition empathy and love.

Each one of us experiences trials and tribulations in our life's journey. I've had my fair share of setbacks along the way, big and small. Living with Parkinson's is my current challenge. See also www.preciousdiamond.net.

More Background
Business Card
Despite these setbacks, we continue to thrive. On retirement, my beloved wife Sue and I moved from our busy urbane world in Perth to our little piece of semi-rural paradise on Earth: a canal home in South Yunderup.

After a year of self-indulgent 24x7 recreation, I have now found a new vocation, namely; to do what I can to help those, interested in nurturing their body and mind, to help themselves.

What moved me to take this on at my age and condition? I discovered the remarkable Dr. Bruce Lipton, a microbiologist whose compelling description of how our bodies work, particularly in the area of Epigenetics, has set me on a personal quest to nurture my body's inherent capacity to heal itself, the outcome of which may well be a moderation of my symptoms and, possibly, reversal of the condition.

In committing to this new vocation, I initially struggled to find a way of going about it. The way forward became crystal clear to me in a flash! Given my experience in IT and choral singing, I saw an opportunity to adopt the innovative virtual choir concept, pioneered by Eric Whitacre, as a vehicle to develop a community of people who share the love of singing and strive to improve their well-being and quality of life.
