Music by Walter Bennett
Lyrics by Roger Palmer
Arranged by Tim Cunniffe
The story line of the song relates to Roger's recollection of his childhood, which will no doubt resonate with those of our vintage. These memories are put to a dreamy melody line Walter initially wrote as a lullaby for his first born grandchild. A bridge was added to urge adults of today to give children the latitude, freedom and encouragement they need to fully experience life. This first-hand experience is essential during their critical early years if they are to develop the life skills, resilience and physical and emotional well-being required to cope in a world of ever increasing complexity, pace and regulation.
The music has been professionally arranged:
A grant to have the music arranged was kindly provided by Voice Moves. Tim Cunniffe, was contracted to develop two part and four part arrangements of the song.
