Live Choir Recording Session - 2013 Mandurah Proms re-enactment
Singers involved in the 2013 Mandurah Proms have been invited to reunite at a free half day workshop scheduled for the 16th February 2014, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre - Fishtrap Theatre. The workshop is a joint initiative of the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre (ManPAC), Each Living Moment (ELM) virtual choir and Mandurah Concert Band (MCB).
At the workshop, singers of the combined choirs will rehearse and perform ‘Each Moment’ in F maj, as sung at the 2013 Mandurah Proms. On this occasion, Krispin Maesalu will be both Music Director and Conductor. Krispin has extended the music arrangement to include concert band instruments for which the MCB will provide accompaniment for the song. To give you a taste of what the finished product might begin to sound like, we have combined the soundtrack from the showcase movie screened at the 2013 Mandurah Proms, with a recording taken of the Mandurah Concert Band playing Krispin Maesalu's new arrangement at their last rehearsal.

The workshop will be conducted as a closed recording studio session, where the performance of the song by the massed voices will be recorded by High Definition video cameras and stereo microphones. The recording will become the centre-stage feature of a new movie ‘Each Moment – the main event’, around which all other video clips submitted by individual and small-group singers, past and present, will be synchronised and integrated. This final movie of Each Moment will be screened as a feature item of the 2014 Mandurah Proms.
The pilot movie ‘Each Moment Mk1’, screened and well received at the 2013 Mandurah Proms, showcased twenty three singers accompanied by a computer simulated piano. ‘Each Moment – the main event’ will feature around one hundred singers and will be accompanied by a concert band and pianist.
